Biography
Lady Helena Gleichen was born in London. Was the daughter of Count Victor Gleichen aka Prince Victor of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, a half-nephew of Queen Victoria and himself a sculptor and naval officer, and his morganatic wife Laura Williamina Seymour, a daughter of Admiral Sir George Seymour. She worked from her father's former studio in St James's Palace opposite Friary Court.Studied art in Rollshoven and in London, notably at Frank Calderon's School of Animal Painting. Showed her work in RA, City of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, New Gallery and in France and Italy. Several Italian public galleries bought her work. See
