Nancy Carline was born and lived in London. Married to the artist Richard Carline. Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art under Henry Tonks and Allan Gwynne-Jones in 1928-31. From 1933-35 worked at Sadler's Wells Ballet. Joined Hampstead Artists' Council, showed with the AIA, LG and NEAC. Was represented in 'The Carline Family' exhibition at Leicester Galleries in 1971 and 'Spencers and Carlines' at the Morley Gallery in 1980. Had a retrospective at Camden Arts Centre in 1985. Her work is represented in the Manchester City Art Gallery.
