Biography
Elinor Bellingham-Smith was born in London, married to the artist Rodrigo Moynihan in 1933. Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in 1928-1933, where Henry Tonks regarded her highly. In 1930s she showed at the London Group and Leicester Galleries, having her first solo show there in 1948; also completed drawings and illustrations for Shell and Harper's Bazaar. The Arts Council of Great Britain, Tate Gallery and provincial collections hold examples of her work. Memorial exhibition was held at the New Grafton Gallery in 1989, solo show at Chappel Galleries in 2001.
