Walter Ernest Webster 1877-1959

Walter Ernest Webster was born in Manchester. Studied at the Royal College of Art and Royal Academy Schools. Exhibited Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Glasgow Institute and Paris Salon, where he won bronze and silver medals before the World War I and a gold in 1931. His work is represented in the collections of Oldham Art Gallery and Museum, Paisley Museum and Art Gallery and other provincial galleries. (see Art UK)
