Lynton Lamb was born in India, studied at the Central School of Arts and Crafts under William Roberts and Bernard Meninsky in 1928-30. Shared a studio with Victor Pasmore in the 1930s, is featured at Pasmore's picture 'The Parisian Cafe' and was associated with the Euston Road School. Exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Paintings, London Group, Leicester and Redfern Galleries. One man show was held at the Storran Gallery in 1937. Was teaching at the Slade School of Fine Art in 1950-71 and the Royal College of Art in 1956-71. His work is represented in a number of public collections (see Art UK).
