Biography
Ian Strang was born in London, elder son of the artist William Strang. Studied at Slade School of Fine Art in 1902-6 with Henry Tonks and Fred Brown, then at the Academie Julian in Paris with Jean Paul Laurens in 1906-8. Exhibited at the Royal Academy, New English Arts Club, Fine Art Society, Goupil and Leicester Galleries. Imperial War Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, British Museum and many other provincial galleries hold examples of his work. (see
