Biography
Horace Brodzky was born in Melbourne, Australia. Moved to London in 1908. Studied at City and Guilds Art School and had a first solo show. Became friendly with artists such as Henri Gaudier-Brzeska, Jacob Epstein, David Bomberg and Mark Gertler. In 1914 joined London Group and began to be included in modern art shows, New York in 1915-23. Retrospective exhibition at Jewish Museum of Australia, Melbourne in 1988 and Boundary Gallery 1989.
