Born in London. Studied art at Slade School of Art, in Paris and in Brittany. Exhibited in major private London galleries and at the NEAC and RA. Elected NEAC in 1929 and RA in 1939. His work is represented in many public art collections and Chantrey Bequest purchased his work in 1933.
