Biography

Felicity Charlton was born in Bristol. Studied in 1932-37 at the West of England Collage of Art, Bristol, where her teachers included Evan Charlton, whom she married. Her work consisted of 'scenes of interiors and gardens' and was widely exhibited in group shows including RWA, WAC, Royal National Eisteddfod and Howard Roberts Gallery in Cardiff. Solo shows at Andrew Knight Gallery in Cardiff in 1985, Undeground Gallaery in Bath in 1989 and Rooksmoor Galery in Bath in 1991. Major retrospective exhibition alongside her husband's work was held at Newport Museum and Art Gallery in 1981 and another one in 1993. Newport and Swansea art galleries hold examples of her work.
