Biography

Ernest Amor - figurative artist producing colourful, naively charming scenes of London where he lived and the southeast coast. After being commissioned in the Artists' Rifles and wounded in France in 1917, he studied at the Slade School of Art in the mid 1920s, contemporary with Rex Whistler. During the World War II Amor was a commandant of the prisoner of war camp in England.
