Carel Weight RA 1908-1997

Carel Weight was born in London. Studied at Hammersmith School of Art in 1928-30, then Goldsmiths' College of School of Art in 1930-33 under James Bateman. Held his first solo exhibition at Cooling Galleries in 1934. Exhibited at Royal Academy from 1931, Leicester Galleries, London Group. Retrospective exhibition at Royal Academy in 1982.
