Arthur Friedenson was born in Leeds, Yorkshire. From the late 1880's studied at the Academie Julian in Paris and at Academie Royale de Beaux Arts in Antwerp. Worked in Netherlands, where he was influenced by local landscape artists. From about 1910 worked at various locations in Dorset. Showed his work at the Royal Academy, Fine Art Society, Goupil Gallery and elsewhere. Tate Gallery holds examples of his work.
