Biography
Albert Reuss was born in Vienna. First showed in Vienna in 1926 at the Wurthle Gallery and again in 1930. His work was included in the Chicago Exhibition in 1933, five years later emigrating to England. Reuss and his wife moved to Mousehole, Cornwall in 1948. Had regular one man shows at O'Hana Gallery, London as well as solo exhibitions in municipal galleries in Birmingham, Cheltenham and Penarth. Several such provincial galleries hold his work as do the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, British Museum and the Albertina Museum in Vienna. Retrospective exhibition at Newlyn Orin Gallery in 1980 and the Stable Gallery in Long Ashton, Brighton in 1989.
