| Biography |
| Jacob Bornfriend was born Jakub Bauernfreund in Zborov, Slovakia. Educated at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague in 1930-5. Moved to England in 1939. First one man show at Roland, Browse and Delbanco in London in 1950, where he continued to exhibit. The Tate Gallery, Southampton City Art Gallery, several colleges of Oxford, Museum of Bochum, Germany hold examples of his work. |
