Biography

Born in London, brother of painter Paul Nash. Self taught, encouraged by Paul to paint. Exhibited with his brother at the Dorien Leigh Galleries in 1913, first solo exhibition at Goupil Gallery in 1921. Member of Friday Club, London Group and Cumberland Market Group. Elected RA in 1951. Major show of his work at Royal Academy in 1967. Tate Gallery among many public galleries holds his work.
