Biography
Pamela Mary Spencer was born in Manchester. She was the niece of Sir Stanley Spencer and Gilbert Spencer. Studied at the St. Martin's School of Art in 1945-51 under H.A.Freeth, James Bateman, Barry Craig and Gilbert Spencer. Began exhibiting from 1945 and was a member of Hampstead Art Club in 1952-53. Also showed at Royal Academy, New English Arts Club, Royal Society of British Artists, Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum in Bournemouth, Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and elsewhere. Her work is represented in private collections in Britain and abroad.
