Self taught artist. Was born in Wisbech and educated in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Began painting in 1937. Until 1948 produced many portraits and landscapes, then turned to coloured geometric abstract pictures. Held solo exhibitions at Drian Galleries in 1966 and Vincintoria Art Gallery in Brighton in 1968.
