| Mary Godwin was born in Stoke Bishop, near Bristol. Studied art in the women's department of Kings's College under Byam Shaw, also with Walter Sickert and Harold Gilman and at Westminster Polytechnic from 1911 to 1915. Exhibited at the RA, AAA, Goupil Gallery, Cooling Galleries, NEAC and held one man show at Leger Galleries. Member of the London Group since 1914 and exhibited until 1939. |
