Biography
Harold Williamson was born in Manchester and studied at the School of Art there. Exhibited at Royal Academy, New English Art Club, Manchester City Art Gallery, Walker Art Gallery and America. Became painting master at Bournemouth College of Art in 1926-1947, then until 1962 was the Head of the Department of Fine Art in Manchester College of Art and Design. His work is represented in permanent collections of Manchester, Southport and Bournemouth. Belgrave Gallery held a retrospective in 1979.
