Biography

Malcolm Drummond was born in Boyne Hill, Berkshire. Graduated in history from Oxford in 1903. Trained at the Slade School of Fine ARt in 1903-07 and Sickert's class at the Westminster School of Art 1908-10. Pupil of Sickert's etching class in 1909 and founder-pupil at Sickert's Rowlandson House 1910. First exhibited at the AAA in 1910. Member of Camden Town Group, founder member of London Group in 1913. Taught at Westminster School of Art in 1925-1931. His work was exhibited after his death in Redfern Gallery in 1946, Aberdeen Art Gallery in 1948, Municipal Art Gallery in Reading in 1950; Arts Council in 1963-64 and Maltzahn Gallery in 1974.
