Biography

Shepheard first studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and then trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1925. Performed in numerous plays at leading theatres along with John Gielgud, Jack Buchanan, Peggy Ashcroft and Lewis Casson. In 1928 joined the Emotionist Group, founded by R.O.Dunlop. Showed her work in 1929 with Francis Bacon at is Queensberry Mews studio, the same year she exhibited at the Redfern Gallery with Augustus John, Lucien Pissarro, Paul Nash, Edward Wolfe and Eric Gill. In 1933 showed her drawings in one woman show at Lefevre Gallery.
