| Eric Thorp was born in London. Studied at the City of London School, where Herbert Dicksee was drawing master, and at the Royal Academy Schools. Was principally marine painter. Showed at RA, Paris Salon and elsewhere. National Maritime Museum and Greenwich and Guildhall Art Gallery hold examples of his work. |
