| Hubert Lindsay Wellington was born in Gloucester. Studied at the School of Art in 1895-1898, then at Birmingham School of Art in 1898-99 and the Slade School of Fine Art in 1899-1900. Held his first one man show in Agnew's in 1963. Abbott and Holder had a show of his landscape paintings in 1996. Also exhibited at New English Arts Club, Royal Academy, London Group. Tate Gallery holds one of his many early Cotswold scenes and a work is held by Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. |
