| Alistair Grant was born in London. Attended Birmingham School of Art in 1941-43, then Royal College of Art in 1947-50 with a continuation scholarship in 1950-51. Showed his work at Royal Academy, New English Arts Club, Redfern, Picadilly and Zwemmer Galleries. Lived partly in England and France (his mother came from Etaples, in nothern France where he retained the family home). Victoria & Albert Museum, British provincial and many overseas galleries hold examples of his work. Memorial show was held in 1997 at Art First. |
