David Carr (front) at Cedric Morris' Art School

David Carr was born in London. Studied at Byam Shaw School in the late 1930's, then for several years at Cedric Morris' East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing. His work was included in a show at Whitechapel Art Gallery in 1953 and in a show at Southampton City Art Gallery. Exhibited at Mayor Gallery in 1987 and Shaefer Gallery in New York.In 1997 his work was shown alongside that of his friend Prunela Clough at Austin/Desmond Fine Art. |
