Mary Potter was born in Kent. Studied art at the Slade School of Art in 1918-21. Exhibited with the NEAC from 1922 and the London Group from 1929, becoming a member in 1938. First solo show held in 1931 at the Bloomsbury Gallery. Her work is represented in many public collections.
