| Mark Gertler was born in London. Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in 1908-12; won the Slade Scholarship in 1909 and in 1912 a British Institution Scholarship. First one man show at Goupil Gallery in 1921. Member of the New English Arts Club in 1912 -14 and London Group in 1915. Tate Gallery holds examples of his work. |
