| Frank Brangwyn was born in Bruges, Belgium. From the mid-1880's started exhibiting at the RA and to establish his reputation which soon became international. Won a gold medal in Chicago Exhibition and received many other academic honours. In 1919 elected RA. Retrospective exhibition in Worthing in 1951, RA in 1952 and a memorial show held at Fine Art Society in 1958. Tate Gallery holds examples of his work. |
