Biography
Morland Lewis born in Carmarthen, South Wales. Studied at the St.John's Wood School of Art, at the RA Schools and under Sickert. Left RA to work with Sickert as a pupil and assistant. Exhibited with the London Group from 1929, becoming a member in 1931. One-man exhibition with the London Artists' Association, of which he was also a member, 1930. Taught at Chelsea School of Art. Served as Camouflage Officer and died in North Africa 4 August 1943.
Memorial exhibition at the Leicester Galleries 1944.
Government Art Collection holds two examples of his work.
