| Biography |
| Born in London. Studied painting under William Bromley and later in Paris under Bonnat and Cormon. Exhibited at the RA from 1876. Elected RBA in 1879 and RI in 1886. His work is represented in many public collections. Chantrey Bequest purchased painting 'Milking Time' in 1898. |
