| Born in Sandy, Bedfordshire. Studied textile design at Royal College of Art in 1919-23. Tunnard began painting seriously in 1929. Exhibited three paintings at RA in 1931 and in 1933 held first solo show at Redfern Gallery. Exhibited in Surrealist section in AIA exhibition in 1937. Retrospective at RA in 1977. Tate Gallery hold his work. |
