Biography

Born in Galashiels, Selkirk. Studied at the Edinburgh College of Art. In 1919 won a travelling scholarship which took her to Belgium, France and Italy. First solo exhibition in Edinburgh in 1947, in London at Lefevre Gallery in 1952. By this time Redpath was showing at the RSA, SSA and RBA. Her work can be found in many public galleries in Britain and abroad, including the Tate Gallery and Royal Academy, Aberdeen Art Gallery and Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh which gave a retrospective exhibition in 1996-97.
